• BRIEF DESCRIPTION |
Home to a popular bottled beer and on the site of a renowned Soviet bar, this Moscow beer pub has a retro touch in its decorations and menu. There is a picture of Brezhnev in the bathroom, servers wear "USSR" shirts, and retro hits play on the stereo. The food includes a selection of hearty, typically Soviet dishes - herring under a layer of mayonnaise and beets, shashliks, and pelmeni (meat dumplings). The establishment is split into a (quite pricey) restaurant and a (much cheaper) self-service cafeteria with long wooden benches.
