A major bookshop in the city centre that was once the biggest in Moscow, Biblio Globus dates back over 50 years and occupies an attractive 19th century building on Myasnitskaya Ulitsa, about ten minutes' walk from Red Square. A fairly traditional general bookshop offering all types of fiction, non-fiction, poetry and academic literature (over 100,000 titles in total), Biblio Globus also shows a few attempts at modernity including a rather quaint cafe (serving full meals as well as coffee) and complimentary WiFi throughout the store. A major part of the store is the foreign-language section, with a reasonably broad choice of novels in English for comparatively low prices.
